Hi Shivaas, tell us about your background and how your new company will help the average Indian?
Hi Abhishek. Well, i don’t have much of a background. My relationship with computers dates back to 2000, when i started actively taking part in building animations (with another student) for school functions and all… Things moved on and i was introduced to the wonders of web designing in 2002, and ever since my life has somewhat changed…
Talking about my current venture, we all are very excited about it ! It’s something that we think no website has done before, or at this scale. The average Indian has a lot to gain from it, especially since it will help him save time and money to a good extent.

Yes it had to come one day. It’s already there now.
If you visit their site m.youtube.com for the first time, you get the warning:
Information: YouTube Mobile is a data intensive application. We highly recommend that you upgrade to an unlimited data plan with your mobile service provider to avoid additional charges.
If your phone supports video(amr/3gp) it will work. If not, then it wont.
It has a search feature, it has great functionality. Bring that cell phone out, type m.youtube.com on the address bar and try out the application now. It’s free and it’s the first one of it’s kind. No bugs, no errors. The app works just fine. Open YouTube: on your PC or your mobile.

Finally Apple has updated the specifications page of the iPhone to include the battery info that we all wanted to see. The iPhone has a 250 hour(10 days) standby time, 24 hours battery capacity for music, 7 for video and 5 for browsing the internet.
They also mention that these may vary depending on different factors and conditions which means we still have to wait for another 10 days till we see the real picture.

As you can see on the left, Apple released an update to it’s Safari browser through the Apple Software Update tool.
CVE-ID: CVE-2007-3186
Impact: Visiting a malicious website may lead to arbitrary code execution.
Description: A command injection vulnerability exists in the Windows version of Safari 3 Public Beta. By enticing a user to visit a maliciously crafted web page, an attacker can trigger the issue which may lead to arbitrary code execution. This update addresses the issue by performing additional processing and validation of URLs. This does not pose a security issue on Mac OS X systems, but could lead to an unexpected termination of the Safari browser.

When Apple released Safari 3 for Windows, it claimed it was faster than any other browser in every way. One of the tests they indicated was the JavaScript Rendering comparison.
In their test, Safari was clearly better than IE7, Firefox 2 and Opera.
They conducted the test using I-Bench. I wanted to confirm what they said before I make any statement and the fastest way was to use a script anyone can use online. I conducted the tests between the 3 browsers: Safari, Firefox 2 and Windows Internet Explorer 7.
The results are very clear and have been captured in the screenshot on the left which you may click to enlarge. The simple result is Safari is the clear winner.
