If you thought slim is in, you’re wrong. Black is what’s in. Apple’s proved that with the black iPod Nano and black Macbooks, and now Nokia is trying it’s hand at it too. It’s released the N95 8GB edition today and it’s all black, sleek and still fat. No wait, it isn’t fat it’s huge.
The specs are mostly the same as the normal N95, just the cost goes up. And if you liked the N80 you’ll simply love the N81. The only downside is that, the RIZR still wins if design is what you’re looking at.

It’s official. The new N-Gage gaming platform is going to be introduced not on a separate phone but as part of the N-Series phones itself.
The phones that will be compatible with the new platform will be the N95, , N93, N81 and N73. Each game will cost anything between 6-10 Euros. That’s much cheaper than most portable gaming titles, and I think the quality will also remain only as bad.
The news is really upsetting, I was expecting more from Nokia.

Apple’s made it almost obvious that the “Special Event” on September 5th is going to really be an “iPod Event” with the image above. The iPod product line hasn’t been updated for almost a year now and it’s time we see some new innovation. The click-wheel is really good and everything, but I love and can easily adapt to change. I really hope they don’t create a replica of the iPhone, and as far as I think they wont because Safari on the iPod doesn’t make sense.

The N-gage got a lot of attention when it was initially released, and it became extremely popular in India. It had some (recognised) mistakes in it’s design elements and hopefully Nokia will correct them later today. There are many people who would swear by Nokia and refuse to use a phone manufactured by anyone else, and there’s good news for all of them. Here’s the Nokia Virtual Event Schedule:

Here’s what’s expected today:
- Nokia N81
- Nokia N95 8GB M
- Music store
- NGage
I’m mostly interested in the updated N-gage, we haven’t really seen much of innovation on the mobile gaming front, and I’m dying in anticipation.
