No bundled remote

The Apple remote that previously shipped with all the computers in the MacBook line is no longer part of the package. With the latest processor refresh, Apple has chosen to keep the Apple remote aside calling it an additional and optional accessory.

What good is Front Row without that gem of a device that looks somewhat like the 1st generation iPod Shuffle. Companies make intelligent decisions to cut costs, this isn’t one of them.

MacBook Pro 2.2 CTO Review

Wrote this review long time back. Don’t know how I didn’t get down to posting it.

Choosing a notebook is quite a difficult task because of the number of options one can look at. When I was choosing a notebook, the two most important things in my mind were performance and portability.

Now it is quite well known that a notebook that is a desktop replacement is generally not that easy to carry around but since I need a computer wherever I go, portability got a higher priority.

Apple vs. Microsoft

The battle of the brands is something we observe all the time whether it’s between Pepsi and Coke, Samsung and LG or Sony and Nintendo. There’s one battle that has continued for over 30 years, still with no result. I am talking about the fierce rivalry between Apple Inc. and Microsoft Corp.

Apple and Microsoft have had many disputes, most of them being initiated by Apple, while accusing the Redmond based company of copying their ideas. Apple continues to maintain that it’s products are far superior and they’re doing everything possible to seduce slaves of Microsoft’s monopoly towards their products.
