A quick look at the new dashboard. Removes all the close clutter. The admin features are neatly tucked into the right side of screen in a smaller font and post/media management is what comes clearly in view when you login and look at the new dashboard. We still have the recent comments and incoming links sections after logging in.

Opera and WebKit successfully pass the Acid3 test with 100/100 scores. That is something Firefox has been unable to reach as yet. This news comes as a shock to the community that supports and swears by open source software. Anyhow, we’ll soon see the two extremely standards compliant browsers: Apple’s WebKit based Safari and Opera web browsers.
The biggest shocker is not that the engines have beaten Firefox but that such standards compliance is nowhere to be seen on Linux as yet. I don’t think Mozilla is going to sit quite though. At least, I hope not.

Apple India has promoted iPods really well till now. Actually, they’ve got the publicity they needed automatically. Every competition has an iPod as a prize, which has made it somewhat common. Still you have people every now and then exclaiming they own Sony iPods.
Today’s Times of India sported a Mac advertisement that took up space on half a page, stating “A Mac is not just for anyone. But then again, you are not anyone.” The advertisement was simple, but I don’t quite see it being successful in India as most Indians like flashy stuff like the Wow campaign Microsoft brought out.
