AVG AntiVirus (Free Edition)

Buy a new Windows PC today and you’ll find you’re opening doors for viruses, ad-ware and malware to enter it as soon as you connect to the internet. There are pretty high chances of your computer being infected by viruses external media(CDs,DVDs, Floppies). There are many ways you can get viruses, but that’s not what we have to discuss here. Our main aim is to prevent the problem, which is still at large.

Grisoft has for almost a whole decade provided a Free version of their AntiVirus software and by my tests it’s functionality is as good as the premium paid alternatives(like Norton, McAfee, etc.)
