Apple’s made it almost obvious that the “Special Event” on September 5th is going to really be an “iPod Event” with the image above. The iPod product line hasn’t been updated for almost a year now and it’s time we see some new innovation. The click-wheel is really good and everything, but I love and can easily adapt to change. I really hope they don’t create a replica of the iPhone, and as far as I think they wont because Safari on the iPod doesn’t make sense.

Finally Apple has updated the specifications page of the iPhone to include the battery info that we all wanted to see. The iPhone has a 250 hour(10 days) standby time, 24 hours battery capacity for music, 7 for video and 5 for browsing the internet.
They also mention that these may vary depending on different factors and conditions which means we still have to wait for another 10 days till we see the real picture.
If you bought an iPod long time back and the earphones which were bundled with it have worn out, you need to get yourself a new pair. Like most people you can go to Apple.com and look for the same white earphones which you have fallen in love with and immediately place an order right there.
If you’re smart you’ll look around and avoid paying $30. If you’re smarter you can just follow the link here.
I just bought myself a pair of the earphones listed on the website linked above. It looks exactly like any other iPod earphones and
produces the same sound. It’s the same $30 material available at $3.99.
