On most leading Debian based operating systems the network managers aren’t good enough to work with different encryptions, including Ubuntu.
There’s this cool 65KB debian package called WICD, short for WICKED which helps most people stabilize their wireless connections. Most people either don’t know about this package or don’t know how to install it.
1. You have to open the package manager(Synaptic in Ubuntu) and remove the package network-manager.
2. Download WICD using some other computer and bring it on some media to your debian pc and install it.

Mac OS X(pronounced 10) is one of the most powerful operating systems present today. Windows Vista(Microsoft’s over-hyped and over-rated operating system) which no longer includes WinFS (Window Future Storage) will be considered by most developers as very poor replica of Mac OS for PCs. Considering the fact that it is going to release in early 2007, we would have certainly expected much more.
So I would suggest you continue using the bland Windows XP with it’s limited features and also it’s pathetic interface. You have three other interesting options too:
1. Buy a Mac
2. Switch to Linux
3. Install Mac on your PC.
