People are both slamming it and giving it rave reviews for having the best gameplay. But I wonder how it’s so easy to judge a game that’s hardly been out.

One of the reasons people give it negative criticism is because of how freely sex and related objects are available within the game, without realizing that they’ve only grown as GTA has. The more you bring reality into gameplay the more raw it gets. It’s grittier and rightly so.

GTA is one franchise that’s bound to do well with so many subsequent releases that have done so much better than other games of it’s category. Oh no, actually it defines it’s category so well, that it’s difficult for other games to come and fit into it correctly.

If you are currently travelling abroad, and want to make calls without making them eat your pocket with large roaming charges here is the thing to do. Get yourself a prepaid calling card with the lowest possible call rates, some that might astound you because they may cheaper than what you pay for local calls usually.

If you’re currently visiting the United States, and say you’re from India then the best thing to do is to use one of the calling cards listed on this page with rates starting as low as 2.7 cents(INR 0.12). If you were making a call in India, you would be paying as little as INR 1.0 but here you are paying just 0.12. Think about how much you’re saving while using one of these great calling cards. The phone card you buy from them can be used not only to make these special low cost international calls but also local calls where you currently are with superb connectivity and great quality.

Hurry now, because they have a great sale running where you get more than $10 off on your purchase, thus further bringing down your calling rate. These are what they call the end of semester savings and they’re going to end soon which is why I suggest you pick up a phone card soon. Be sure to check out their section which lets you buy cards that let you make unlimited calls to talk to friends and family.

It is common knowledge that mapping Direct 3D calls to OpenGL calls to support 3D games in Windows XP was a much harder task than adding GL support for operating systems that use it natively. VMware Fusion is a great Windows virtualization tool on the Mac and currently it’s flaws are only recognized as bugs that would exist in any application that’s under active development.

I’m hoping with the Version 2.0 of VMware Fusion, whenever it is scheduled to be released, 3D acceleration becomes a standard feature for all virtual operating systems. Beryl and Compiz desktop effects are something people really show off on their Linux based systems. They don’t even hog on the GPU, which is why I look forward to using them in VMware in the near future.

They are currently the leading manufacturers of boat handling equipment and known for their long lasting machines having a very high resale value.

As they give great value to customers’ inputs, their products are the result of customer-focused engineering which reduces all the flaws you would otherwise see in Marine products. Their transporters look very enticing and are worth a look if you’re planning to buy one to increase efficiency.

Juno is a movie about 16-year old Juno who has been affected by an unplanned pregnancy. I was somehow shocked after seeing all 96 minutes of this movie, as it had really put me off. I am really unhappy with this new craze for this poorly made film. The plot is incredibly shallow, and completely uninsightful about the issue of teenage pregnancy. For the most part, the characters are two-dimensional and come off as disconnected from any recognizable reality.

When it was trying to be funny, I wasn’t laughing, and when it was trying to be serious, I wasn’t buying it. It’s adeptly directed and acted, but the gimmicky language and unbelievable characters don’t make the story interesting, involving, or realistic. Every single ounce of witticism sounded outstretched.

Juno’s sarcasm made me feel slightly uncomfortable, because it was quite bland and made fun of intelligence. I’m not sure how it received the Oscar it did, because screenplay was what it was lacking all along. The script was nothing better than ordinary, and more than anything else dragging.

I’d compare it to “Little Miss Sunshine,” another well-received piece of drollery straight-jacketed by bourgeois political correctness, self-conscious cuteness, and artificial quirkiness, a new genre, it seems, including the likes of “Superbad” and “Knocked Up.”

Rating: 2/5

They also have the largest music catalog of six million songs. The iTunes Music Store was started five years ago and they have created a strong footprint in the music industry.

This is not surprising, Apple was bound to get this share sooner or later with the increasing worldwide popularity of iPod music players that sync with the popular iTunes Digital Jukebox application that Apple develops for Macintosh and Windows computers.

That’s great news. But the other half of what’s new is that we’ll be sticking to the 32 bit version on Mac OS X. Sad news from Adobe considering that Windows 64-bit isn’t even that popular, while Mac OS X Leopard has only one version- that’s 64-bit.

Adobe’s argument is fairly reasonable: Apple decided to discontinue the 64-bit Carbon, to promote development of 64-bit Cocoa applications. Now they wont be able to port the 64-bit Carbon Photoshop CS4 to 64-bit Cocoa Photoshop CS5 as initially planned, but what does seem likely is a 64-bit Cocoa build of Photoshop CS5 as indicated. Microsoft’s Office 2008 is still Carbon, and that’s exactly what John Nack explains by saying Adobe cannot possibly create the 64-bit Cocoa application in such a short time frame.

A quick look at the new dashboard. Removes all the close clutter. The admin features are neatly tucked into the right side of screen in a smaller font and post/media management is what comes clearly in view when you login and look at the new dashboard. We still have the recent comments and incoming links sections after logging in.

The WYSIWYG editor is finally Safari friendly. In the previous version of Wordpress, you could use the rich text editor, but none of the formatting was retained when you saved the post using Safari. Now it works just like it would with any other browser. Finally!

You can now select multiple files to be uploaded at the same time. You can upload Photos, Audio and Video. After the upload process, all uploads go into the new Media Manager. While inserting images into posts you now have in addition to the usual thumbnail and full size option, a new medium size option. This is something we’ve been really waiting for and now most users wont need to manually change the thumbnail size digging into the php.

The file upload feature doesn’t seem to be browser cross-compatible. It works fine with Firefox, Camino but gives an HTTP error on Safari after the upload has taken place. Even though it displays an upload error, you’ll find that your uploaded media are already in the media manager. Come to think of it, it’s more of a bug than a compatibility issue.

The new version of wordpress uses a lot more AJAX in it’s UI. The widgets section is more polished, the file uploads definitely more intuitive. Wordpress understands the difference between Tags and Categories very well. Excellent new taxonomy features that I wont go into.

The plugins section is also something I’d like to talk about. Wordpress informs you when there’s an update available for a plugin that you are currently using. Then you have two options: Download the plugin, upload via a file browser(web-based or FTP) or let Wordpress do it for you magically. Yes, that’s right. Wordpress automatically downloads the plugin from the server and installs it for you. This is probably the most interesting new feature.

If you want to add a link to your blogroll or some other category, you can now do so from the Write section instead of going to Manage -> Blogroll Management. If you want to delete a link, you’ll do so just like you’d delete a post. Now that’s how it worked earlier too but now it seems as though all the tasks in Wordpress are similar therefore being very intuitive for the new user.

Wordpress 2.5 is really worth upgrading to. You don’t have to think twice before doing so because it’s not like you’re losing anything. 5 minutes of your time maybe, but it’s worth it.
